There are so many amazing places to run that we want to help spread the word about some of your favorites. Maybe you will be visiting a new area and looking for a great running trail or in search of your next racecation. Whatever the case, we hope to highlight some of the best places to run around the world! Up next to share her favorite run is @tinythunderr.

Favorite Run: Gifford Pinchot State Park in Lewisberry, PA

Location: Lewisberry, PA (about 30 minutes from Harrisburg)

Fun Fact:

There are two entrances to the trail, one is called Conewago and Quaker Day Use. If you start at the Quaker side in the summer, you can go for a swim after to cool off!

Distance:

You can really run whatever distance you want. If you run a full loop around, you can get anywhere from 8.5-9 miles depending on what paths you take. You can also do smaller out and backs of whatever distance you want.

Difficulty:

Relatively easy trail.

Why You Love It:

I love this route because a) it’s trail, b) it’s within a half hour of home so easy to get there even during the week for a longer run and c) it’s beautiful year round. There is actually a mid-winter half marathon held here called Squirelly Tail Twail Wun that is quite a fun challenge as well.  

Parking: 

Both entrance areas are well equipt with parking. This is a state park so there’s plenty of space to park.

Favorite Place To Eat Post-Run:

There is a local ice cream place called Reeser’s that has burger and fry type options plus delicious ice cream. This is a great place to hit up after a nice, hot, sweaty summer run as well!
