Disney’s Tenth Anniversary Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is just around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited. With the themes for the race distances announced recently we can’t wait to see the creative costumes all the runDisney runners come up with, especially those featuring our sparkle skirts. The overall theme for the weekend is celebrating countries from around the world, which is perfect since the race aligns with the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, but the individual races will focus on specific Disney characters or movies.
The Disney Fall Feast 5K
The first race of the weekend is the Disney Fall Feast 5K, which will be on Friday, November 1st. This race will be run at Epcot for the first time ever and will have a Jungle Book theme. We expect the creativity for these costumes to be bear-y paw-esome.
The Wine & Dine 10K
The second race of the weekend (and the first of the Disney Two Course Challenge) is the Wine & Dine 10K, which will take place on Saturday, November 2nd. Sven and Olaf from Frozen will be the key characters for this race and we expect it will be snow much fun!
The Kids’ Races
There is a kids race available for children up to 13 years old, ranging from a diaper dash to a one mile run. These races will take place on Saturday, November 2nd and will enjoy The Lion King theme with characters Timon and Pumbaa. There are no shortages of animals to choose from when it comes to costumes, and that’s no lion.
The Wine & Dine Half Marathon
The 10th Anniversary of the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon will be the final race of the weekend (and the second of the Disney Two Course Challenge), which will be run on Sunday, November 3rd. Patriotic Mickey is set to lead the charge around Walt Disney World in his best red, white and blue garb.
The Disney Two Course Challenge
If runners tackle the Disney Two Course Challenge, which requires finishing the 10K and Half Marathon, they’ll celebrate the 19.3 mile journey with bling featuring the Three Caballeros.
Whichever race(s) you’re running, our sparkle skirts will be a perfect addition to your race outfit. Whether you plan to run in an animal costume for the 5K, a patriotic outfit for the half marathon or something in between, our lightweight sparkle running skirts will help you shine, whether you’re running to win or just running for fun. You’re sure to turn heads with your shiny style.
