runDisney’s Princess Marathon Weekend is one of our favorites, & #teamsparkle normally blows us away with how they use a sparkle skirt in their creative costumes and we know this race weekend will be no different.
The first race of the weekend is the Disney Princess 5K, which will be on Friday, February 21st. This race will celebrate Moana, who definitely knows the way to the finish line. No one knows how far they’ll go until they lace up their running shoes and run. This un-timed 5K is the perfect race for the entire family to set sail together. If you’re wondering what to wear, may we suggest a brown sparkle skirt? Or something like this Moana running costume?
The second race of the weekend (and the first of the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge) is the Princess Enchanted 10K, which will take place on Saturday, February 22nd. Pocahontas will help guide runners to the finish line, which we are sure will be just around the river bend! Maybe she will even help you run the hidden pine trails of the forest. We can’t wait to see all of the costumes painted with all the colors of the wind. If you’re still wondering what to wear, a brown sparkle skirt is perfect for this Pocahontas running costume.
Up where they walk, up where they run, we know the kids will have a ton of fun during their races themed with The Little Mermaid. There is a kids race available for children up to 13 years old, ranging from a diaper dash to a one mile run. These races will take place on Saturday, February 22nd. Although the Florida humidity can sometimes feel as though you are running “under the sea” we know the children won’t flounder in their races, especially if they are wearing this mermaid sparkle skirt.
The Princess Half Marathon will be the final race of the weekend (and the second of the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge), which will be run on Sunday, February 23rd. Cinderella will help show you that if you keep believing, the dream that you wish of being a half marathoner will come true. We know you will put in the perfect amount of training and won’t need the help of your fairy godmother to help you create the perfect Cinderella running costume using this pale blue sparkle skirt.
Finishing the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge may have originally started once upon a dream, but with the help from Sleeping Beauty’s three fairies, you will cross the finish line of both the 10K and Half Marathon as you tackle the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge. Whether you’re wear pink or blue, we know we’ll be proud of you.
Whichever race(s) you’re running, a sparkle skirt is fit for a princess. Our lightweight sparkle running skirts will help you shine, whether you’re running to win or just running for fun. You’re sure to turn heads with your shiny style. Need help with last minute costume ideas? Make sure to stop by the Sparkle Athletic booth at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo.
